A young CUHK scientist Dr
Ho KO, for his essay "Functional organization of synaptic connections
in the neocortex” was awarded runner-up of the 2014 Eppendorf
& Science Prize for Neurobiology.
His research has explored the connectivity-function
relationship of cortical neuronal networks and their visual response properties.
The essay was published in the 31 October issue of Science.
Congratulations to Dr KO!
Eppendorf & Science Prize for Neurobiology was established
in 2002. The Prize is intended to encourage and support the work of promising
young neurobiologists who are not older than 35 years. It is awarded annually
to one young scientist for the most for the most outstanding neurobiological
research based on methods of molecular and cell biology conducted during the
past three years.
