2014 Eppendorf & Science Prize for Neurobiology





A young CUHK scientist Dr Ho KO, for his essay "Functional organization of synaptic connections in the neocortex” was awarded runner-up of the 2014 Eppendorf & Science Prize for Neurobiology.
His research has explored the connectivity-function relationship of cortical neuronal networks and their visual response properties. The essay was published in the 31 October issue of Science.

Eppendorf & Science Prize for Neurobiology was established in 2002. The Prize is intended to encourage and support the work of promising young neurobiologists who are not older than 35 years. It is awarded annually to one young scientist for the most for the most outstanding neurobiological research based on methods of molecular and cell biology conducted during the past three years.

2014 Micromedex User Group Meeting at Hong Kong




The Li Ping Medical Library of CUHK is pleased to organize the Micromedex User Group Meeting in conjunction with the Libraries of the University of Hong Kong and Hospital Authority. You are cordially invited to join this event.

In this user group meeting, pharmacists from Taiwan will share their experience of pharmaceutical management system and using Micromedex resources for clinical practice. It offers a good opportunity for pharmacists and pharmacologists of local universities and hospitals, and representatives from Micromedex staff to get together, communicate and share ideas on the clinical use of pharmaceutical resources.
