Publishing with The Chinese University Press: Academic Journals and Books

The Chinese University Press (CUP) is a world-renowned publisher devoted to China and Hong Kong studies, located right on CUHK campus. As a bilingual scholarly publisher, CUP publishes books of a diverse array of academic disciplines, with a particular focus on Humanities and Social Sciences. It also publishes a number of academic journals, including The China Review, an SSCI English journal. Library Workshops on Clinical Medicine Research (October 2014)

The Li Ping Medical Library has arranged with vendors to provide training sessions on the following clinical medicine research databases in October 2014.

Program 1: Database Searching for Evidence-Based Medicine

This workshop will focus on the techniques for locating materials of evidence-based medicine and practice using the databases Ovid MEDLINE, EMBASE and EBM Reviews. You will learn how to effectively use evidence-based medicine filters to find evaluated research evidence.

Neuroscientists won the 2014 Nobel Prize in Medicine

 
The 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine is awarded to John O’Keefe, and the married couple May-Britt Moser, and Edvard I. Moser on 6 October 2014, for their discovery of an “inner GPS” in the brain that enables our navigation of ways through a complex environment, demonstrating a cellular basis for higher cognitive function.
